Experience
Joshua Smallwood graduated from Florida State University College of Law earning a Juris Doctor and a Business Law Certificate. During law school, he was actively involved in the Business Law Society and was a founding member of the FSU Law Negotiation Team. He competed in the ABA Negotiation Competition his 2L and 3L year, making it to the regional semi-finals his 3L year. He also participated as a student member of the William H. Stafford Inn of Court.
Mr. Smallwood focuses his practice primarily on insurance defense, including automobile negligence, premises liability, property management defense, retail defense, and wrongful death claims. He has extensive experience in handling all phases of litigation including assisting in litigating multiple civil trials.
